Visiting Nurse Association of Atlantic City

Visiting Nurse Association of Atlantic City

The Visiting Nurse Association of Atlantic City Scholarship is an endowment established by the organization to perpetuate their name and reputation for providing skilled nursing services in the community for more than 60 years. Organized as a home health agency in 1917, the group disbanded in 1980, in which its assets were divided between Stockton University and Atlantic Cape Community College, with the monies being designated for health profession scholarships. The Association ensured skilled nursing services were offered in the home, as well as a variety of health education activities. These services were supported by fees set on a sliding scale, based on the patient’s ability to pay. However, services were never denied for financial reasons. The opportunity is available to full-time nursing students who aspire to give the same excellence in care.
