Vicki Gold Levi
Vicki Gold Levi is the daughter of Al Gold, Atlantic City’s first Chief Photographer, and a post he held until his death in 1964. Affectionately known as “Goldie,” he was popular for his photographs of the Miss America Pageant and the plethora of celebrities who entertained in the clubs along the Boardwalk. Ms Gold Levi has co-authored several books including Atlantic City: 125 Years of Ocean Madness. She is a co-founder of the Atlantic City Historical Museum and an historical consultant to HBO’s Boardwalk Empire series. The Al Gold Purchase Award is given annually to two photography students at Stockton University.
