Tracy Bjork Thompson

Tracy Bjork Thompson established the Dr. Richard E. Bjork Family Scholarship to honor the legacy of the Bjork family and its enduring impact on Stockton University and the region. Richard Bjork was a husband, father, teacher and mentor. He experienced education as a path to purpose. His own journey was guided by the hand of a high school teacher who noticed and believed in his potential and his dreams. This teacher, her compassion, her time and effort fueled his quest for knowledge, higher education and higher purpose. He was a scholarship recipient, and he never forgot that. Richard Bjork gave back. His time, his energy and his compassion were always invested in others. Inclusion, equity and service created the cornerstone of his life.

Tracy Bjork Thompson is honored to continue the family’s legacy in service to others in her own life as a therapist and is deeply gratified to provide a scholarship which supports the future of the helping professions. By supporting deserving students, this scholarship ensures that the Bjork family’s legacy continues to have a meaningful impact on future generations of Ospreys.
