Maud Dahme and Friends
Maud Peper Dahme, a remarkable Holocaust survivor, educator, and human rights advocate, has dedicated her life to ensuring the lessons of the Holocaust are never forgotten. Born in the Netherlands in 1936, Maud endured nearly three years in hiding with Christian families to escape Nazi persecution. It is the intent of the Donor that the “Chocolate, The Taste of Freedom” Scholarship in Honor of Maud Peper Dahme be used to provide an annual award to students in good academic standing with a demonstrated interest in Holocaust and Genocide Studies. Student recipients will be determined by the University’s Holocaust and Genocide Studies Selection Committee.
