Greg and Beverly Barker

Greg and Beverly Barker, along with family and friends, endowed the Tara Jean Barker ’06, DPT ’08 Memorial Scholarship to honor their late daughter as well as provide financial opportunities in perpetuity to Stockton University students. Tara was always up for a challenge and chose Stockton to broaden her horizons, play college softball and pursue a profession in physical therapy. She graduated from the university with her biology degree in 2006 and completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2008. Her accolades during her time at Stockton included honors and records in softball, and she was the first student to receive a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Stockton. In 2013, she was inducted into the Richard Stockton Athletic Hall of Fame, the first softball player in college history to receive the honor.
