Family and Friends of Shanon Newberry

The Shanon Newberry Physical Therapy Scholarship is an endowment established by family and friends in memory of Shanon who was working toward her degree in Physical Therapy. Shanon’s surviving parents, Randy and Sandy, and sister Robin, founded this scholarship to honor and perpetuate Shanon’s memory. Shanon was a member of the class of 2000 (BS, Biology) and was working towards a graduate degree in Physical Therapy. In addition to academics, Shanon was also involved with the Performing Arts Center, intramurals, and the Atlantic County Family Services. It was through her involvement with the Atlantic County Family Services that Shanon decided she wanted to work with senior citizens once she completed her degree. In acknowledgement of her goal, scholarship preference will be given to physical therapy graduate students who are active within the school and have expressed an interest in geriatric care.
