Dean C. and Zoe S. Pappas

Dean C. and Zoe S. Pappas founded multiple Stockton University Foundation funds dedicated to Hellenic Studies and advancing the institution’s mission. Such funds include the Pappas Visiting Scholars Endowment, Pappas Greek Art and Architecture Fund and the Dean C. and Zoe S. Pappas Interdisciplinary Center for Hellenic Studies Endowment.

The Pappas Visiting Scholars program provides an opportunity for Stockton University to host a well-known, respected scholar or artist, and to engage this individual in a variety of educational pursuits that benefit Stockton students, faculty, staff and the wider community. This endowment allows scholars to visit campus for a few days, participate in various classes, hold workshops and symposiums, and generally be available for student interaction.

The Pappas Greek Art and Architecture Fund offers access to museum trips, scholarly learning materials, study tours and guest lecture series from notable academics. The goal of this fund is to expose students to the deep and meaningful world of Greek Art and Architecture in ways not readily available through traditional pedagogy and normal classroom exposure.

The Dean C. and Zoe S. Pappas Interdisciplinary Center for Hellenic Studies Endowment provisions range from faculty research and academic program support, to student educational opportunities, internships and study abroad, and ultimately community workshops and study tours.

The late Dean Pappas served on the Stockton Board of Trustees. He and his wife Zoe have proudly supported Stockton University since 2007.
