Dennis Gomes Memorial Hospitality Scholarship

The Dennis Gomes Memorial Hospitality Scholarship is an endowment established to honor Mr. Gomes’ memory by his wife Barbara, family and friends of Mr. Gomes. Dennis Gomes was a co-owner of the Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City and a former mob-busting prosecutor in Las Vegas whose exploits were chronicled in the movie, “Casino.” The opportunity provides an award to a junior or senior enrolled in the Hospitality & Tourism Management Studies program with a preference for current or past employment in the hospitality industry, and demonstrated financial need with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
